Install and Open the App

This guide will show you how to download and open the Ultimate Backup app on your Windows computer. For the vast majority of users Option 1 is all you will need; Option 2 is for older versions of Windows:

Option 1: Installing from the Microsoft Store

This version of the Ultimate Backup app works with Windows 10 or higher. Just follow the steps below to get started:

1. Click this link to open the Microsoft Store to the Ultimate Backup app page.
2. Click the Get button (may also be called Download or Install):
   
    
3. Wait for the app to install:
   
    
4. Click Open:
   
    
5. If prompted, click Pin to Start to make the app easy to find from your Start Menu on next use:
   
    
6. Once you're in the app, use the App Setup guide to get started with your first backup.

Option 2: Using the app installed on the Ultimate Backup

This version of the Ultimate Backup app works with Windows 7 or higher. First, connect your Ultimate Backup to your PC. Then follow the steps below to get started:

1. Click the File Explorer icon in your taskbar to open a File Explorer window.
2. Click UBDRIVE on the left:
   
   
    
3. Double-click LaunchUltimateBackup to open the app:
   
   
    
4. Once you're in the app, use the App Setup guide to get started with your first backup.
