This guide will show you how to reset your Ultimate Backup. A reset can erase files from your Ultimate Backup, so be sure you have another copy safely stored in another location before proceeding. When you're ready, connect your Ultimate Backup, open the app, and follow the steps below:

Tap Settings
at the bottom right:
- Tap Advanced Options at the bottom:
- Tap Data Reset Options:

Choose the reset option you'd like to proceed with:
The backup records (which are contained within the app on your device) allow your Ultimate Backup to resume the backup where it last left off, skipping duplicates and files that were ever previously backed up to any Ultimate Backup drive.- Erase All Files — erases the files on your Ultimate Backup that were backed up from this phone or tablet. The app's backup records are kept.
- Erase All Backup Records — erases the app's record of what it has already backed up from this phone or tablet. Nothing on your Ultimate Backup is erased; your next backup simply copies everything again.
- Erase All Files and Backup Records — erases both of the above: the files on your Ultimate Backup that came from this phone or tablet, and the app's backup records for them.
- Factory Reset — erases every file stored on your Ultimate Backup, including files backed up from your other devices, along with the backup records for all of them.
- Erase Upload Records — erases the app's record of which photos from this phone or tablet have been uploaded to the Photo Search Tools and KeepSafe services.
None of these options remove photos or videos from your phone or tablet.
Don't see the reset option you're looking for? The drive-related options are only visible while your Ultimate Backup is connected.
- Tap Continue on the prompt, which will elaborate on what the reset you've selected does:
- Enter your name in the prompt, and then tap Continue to proceed:
