Ultimate Backup keeps a record of every file it has backed up from this computer, so each backup copies only new files. Sometimes files the app counts as already saved aren't on your drive. They may have gone to a different drive, or been deleted from this one. Clone fixes this: your next backup ignores those records and copies every file it finds.
- Click Settings on the left side of the app:
- Under What to Search, tick Clone your Ultimate Backup:
- Click Save Settings:
- Click Start Backup on the Home screen:
Good to know
- Files already on your drive aren't copied twice.
- A clone takes longer than a normal backup. Let it run to the end.
- Clone turns itself off when the backup finishes.
- Closing the app also turns it off. If you close the app before you start the backup, tick it again.
- Clone doesn't delete anything from your drive.
