If you have forgotten the password for your Ultimate Backup account, or you cannot sign in on our website, you can set a new password yourself in a few minutes. For the full explanation of when you do and don’t need an account, see Do I need my account to reach my files?
HOW TO RESET YOUR PASSWORD
- Open the password reset page.
- Enter the email address on your account — and submit the request.
- Check your inbox for the reset email, then open the link it contains.
- Enter your new password, confirm it, and save. You can then sign in with the new password.
IF THE RESET EMAIL DOESN'T ARRIVE
The email usually arrives within a few minutes. If you do not see it:
- Check your spam or junk folder, along with any filtered or promotions tab your email provider uses.
- Make sure the address you entered is the one on the account. Double-check the address for typos, and make sure it is the address on your account.
- If you use more than one email address, try the others.
- Wait a few minutes and request the reset once more before trying anything else.
IF YOU ARE TRYING TO REACH YOUR FILES
Your account is for signing in on our website. The photos and files you have already backed up are kept on the Ultimate Backup drive itself, and you do not need an account or a password to open them.
If reaching your files is what you are really after, see https://support.ultimatebackup.com/hc/en-us/articles/55655510479515-Do-I-need-my-account-to-reach-my-files.
If you still cannot reset your password, please contact us and let us know the email address on your account, and we will help you from there.
